Facilities

The Metro Bar has 14 large HD screens showing a wide variety of sports simultaneously as well as a pool table.

Currently we show a wide range of European football, European Rugby Union and Rugby League; Southern Hemisphere Rugby Union and Rugby League as well as Aussie Rules Football and, of course, GAA Football and Hurling from Ireland. Other sports such as F1, MotoGP, Tennis, Cricket, Boxing, UFC and American sports e.g. NFL and College Football are also available.

On weekends we also show main games on our terrace outside on a large projector screen. Our weekly schedule is listed on our Facebook page.

We also cover as much Tennis, Golf, Cricket, F1, MotoGP, GP2, SBK, Boxing, MMA, UFC and race meetings as we can. For US sports fans we show live and delayed NFL, NCAA and NHL games. From Ireland we show GAA National League and All Ireland matches.

When you consider we carry a host of beers, ciders, alcopops, wines and spirits it is no wonder we are a popular venue where guests enjoy watching their favourite sports.

Parties

We organize parties for guests and staff birthdays as well as special days like St. Patrick’s Day, over the Christmas period – indeed for any occasion you wish. Whether you want a Pig on a Spit, an Irish stew or a full buffet, we can arrange that for you also. We do not have our own kitchen but work closely with several eateries in the neighbourhood to ensure a wide selection of culinary possibilities.

Music Sessions

We offer live music weekly. On Tuesdays we have a very good Thai ballad singer who covers a range of popular songs from artists such as Bee Gees, Beatles, Donovan, Kristofferson, Nelson and many, many more.

On Wednesdays, Fáilte, a musical trio, sing Irish and traditional favourites on a voluntary basis to raise donations for the Fr. Ray Foundation.

On Thursdays we have a rota of various artists covering Golden Oldies, R & B, Rock ‘n Roll and Funk.
